It appears that there may have been a dive against debris during the previous few hours at the location
Great turnout of divers and support staff for the day - great diving at a beautiful dive site. We had a single piece of paper as our only find and it was outside of our survey area.
Pristine dive site....

Harsh conditions restricted the number of people in the water, but great turn out of surface support and we did a beach cleanup with the Rhode Island Department of Environment

Even though there were only 2 plastic bags on the diving site, there were a lot of debris on the beach, mostly plastic.

The fact that the dive site was free of debris was a good indicator that all of the shops that had been diving all summer had picked up any debris they found as they went along. Good sign.
