we dive here every day, once a month we do a clean up and it is still not enough.
Locals, especially at weekends, throw their rubbish on the sand or around the parking area by the beach, the wind blows the debris in the shallow water. Fishermen and kids that fish with a line. More education in the locals schools and at home would help
create bigger events for kids and families, make people on the island more aware

The dive site was very murky. The visibility was about 10 feet it had rained the day before. The lake was also about 50 feet lower than usual so we were surveying what would normally be in about 80 feet of water most of the trash was very old trash that had settled at the bottom for at least two months.
Labor day weekend and summer tourist could have contributed to the trash that was in this area.
I think there should be a printable list that we can fill out so as we sort out the trash we can mark exactly what we are reporting back to you.
the most unusual items found were an oil lantern, Boat trimming , and tire rims.
90 degrees outside the water. About 77 degrees inside the water. It rained the Friday before our dive.

Most debris seemed to be from day visitors who, through lack of valid coaching think of the sea as an easy disposal method. day boats could do more, especially with snorkellers to brief with an environmentally friendly emphasis
