Als actieve PADI®-duikprofessional speel je een belangrijke rol bij het vinden van langetermijnoplossingen voor de crisis van afval in zee! Wij zetten ons ervoor in dat de wereldwijde duikgemeenschap in staat wordt gesteld iets te betekenen voor het goede doel, maar dat kunnen we niet zonder JOU. Het is noodzakelijk dat alle duikers hun duikvaardigheden op de juiste wijze inzetten, en van elke duik een onderzoeksduik maken #EveryDiveaSurveyDive. Alleen duikers en duikleiders zoals jij beschikken over de vereiste vaardigheden om gegevens over afval te verzamelen, waardoor verandering in gang wordt gezet.

Als aktiver PADI® Tauchprofi bist du bei der Suche nach langfristigen Lösungen für das Müllproblem im Meer sehr wichtig! Wir wollen die globale Tauchercommunity in die Lage versetzen, sich für das Gute in der Welt einzusetzen. Und dazu brauchen wir DICH. Alle Taucher müssen ihre Fertigkeiten nutzen und bei jedem Tauchgang Mülldaten sammeln #EveryDiveaSurveyDive. Nur Taucher und Tauchführer wie du haben die Fertigkeiten, die man braucht, um Daten zu dem Müllproblem zu sammeln, mit denen man tatsächlich etwas bewegen kann.

As we celebrate positive outcome for sea cucumbers at the World Wildlife Conference - CITES CoP18, we catch up with the winner of our #LoveTheUnloved photo contest launched in support of a proposal to grant trade restrictions to three species of Teatfish, a type of sea cucumber widely fished and poached in the Indo-Pacific seas due to their high commercial value and ease of capture.

As we celebrate success for threatened marine species at World Wildlife Conference - CITES CoP18 - Drew Richardson, President and CEO of PADI Worldwide and Project AWARE Chairman of the Board, expresses, in an inspiring message of hope, his gratitude to Project AWARE, the global dive community and all involved for securing trade restrictions and a win for marine wildlife, including mako sharks at CITES CoP18.

Member countries to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES) adopted a proposal to protect 18 threatened species of sharks and rays, including mako sharks at the 18th Conference of the Parties to CITES in Geneva, Switzerland. What does it mean for mako sharks and what now? Our fight to end uncontrolled mako shark fishing continues.
