This is a return visit to this dive spot. We first did a Debris dive here 6 months ago and the vis was 2cm. We only found very large boat fragments on this dive so it was interesting to go back and see that with good vis there was a lot more to be found. A really good dive site, easy access, parking close by and sheltered from the winds. We saw lots of sea life - Dogfish, Jelly fish, Pipefish, Wrasse and Crabs. We also found 12kgs of debris which included a large ceramic pipe, plastic wrappers, a golf ball, rope, a scuba cylinder plastic boot and the fibreglass casing from a boat (we debated leaving these in the water, but it is clear the paint work is not peeling from fibreglass so better to remove from the water). Excellent dive and a good haul from the sea. Interestingly the rocky cove had very little debris on it, which may be due to the large amount of bins in the area.
Boat fragments - these are the same parts of a boat we found on a Dive Against Debris 6 months ago, so it shows we didn't collect all the parts last dive (the vis was 2cms on our last dive so it isn't surprising we missed some parts). We found two of these parts that had become wedged under rocks and would have caused more harm them good to remove.

A new dive site for Scuba Leeds but a lovely one. Very sheltered spot, with parking very close to the water. A brilliant dive site. The debris we found here seemed to mostly be fishing activity, with some plastic, you had to really look to find the debris, but it was there. The biggest concern for debris here was fishing debris (we found wire entangled around kelp), and lots of small parts of rope. Lots of sea life was found, 2 Dogfish sightings and some very large Spider Crabs. We spotted Wrasse, Cod and Goby here. Would highly recommend this dive spot. We completed a beach clean up and found a lot of plastic on the beach so there is clearly an issue with debris here .
No events that we were aware of but interestingly the beach had a lot more debris then in the water. We found over 200 individual plastic fragments on the beach in 10 mins. I suspect a lot of the debris from the water is washed up onto the beach
