Everybody did so great! I'm grateful fro their help and we have 2 new Dive Against Debris divers!! Yay!
It is a fishing bay. Lots of turtles made it their home since fish parts get tossed in the water. The turtles attract tourists, who in their turn pollute the bay with food and snack wrappers they bring along.
Maybe the map showing the search area calculation can be simplified. Also I can only seem to log this data from a computer and can't log in from a mobile device.
Sea Turtle Conservation Curacao was updated about the hook in a turtles chest and sent out a rescue party next day, turtle was already unburdened from the hook.

Fishing line, nets and hooks: will literally take 700 years to decompose and get tossed daily without any care for the damage done.
single use plastic cups and bottles: not deliberately, but people pretend the wind doesn't move anything and pretend trash isn't theirs as fast as it touches the ground.
discarded fishing traps: too big and heavy to move, even with a lift bag, and litter the ocean floors' bay entirely if no regulations are put in place.
