The diving season begins in October (with the opening of the National Park systems), and ends in May. This year's season was significantly delayed due to the heavy and extended rain season and local flooding.

In April, I will visit the local island of Koh Lanta, where I will achieve the advanced open water PADI certification. I will attempt to get the dive resort (Dive & Relax, Koh Lanta, Krabi Privince) interested in an ocean cleanup campaign, and give them some of my literature and collection bags. (I just keep reusing the same one.) I also plan another trip to my reef in April.
Tourist season is in full swing, increasing to its maximum in April. However, while the beaches and local waters are more populated, a greater effort is made by the resorts to keep their beaches clean. An increase number of long-tail boats however, make no effort at safeguarding the waters.

No items were reclaimed and put to future use.
An entire fishing net was abandoned and caught on several spots within the rocky sea bed. Removal was time consuming, and involved either pulling it free or cutting it out. Care was made to clip very close to the rock. Numerous crab shells and seashells were entangled in the net. Really, too many to count.
The longest rain season I can recall has ended, and the flooding has ceased. Often windy, with mild temperatures. Cooler in the mornings, and warm in the afternoons. Direct sunlight is intensely warm and requires adequate sunscreen.

Handing over this ADS location since I am leaving Okinawa and relocating back to the Continental United States. Matt Lewis and Jessica Mills will be taking this ADS over and intend to carry on the monthly cleanups and surveys.
There is a river wash to the sea just north of this dive site.
Consider adding a line-item for the following: rubber gaskets, rubber molding. We find a lot of those items here.
