Scuba Leeds also completed a Beach Clean up before the dive, and separately removed 5kg of rubbish from the beach in about 30 mins before our dive. The debris we removed from the beach was mostly plastic fragments, fishing wire, baby wipes, plastic food wrappers and full dog waste bags - as well as the occasional nappy!
If these items weren't removed from the beach they would have ended up in the water at high tide, the beach debris was very similar to the debris we found in the water.
The vis in the water had greatly improved from our Debris dive in May, a lovely sea dive. We will be returning to this spot later in the year for more Debris dives
Large piece of plastic that appeared to be boat debris, this is the second piece of boat debris we have found at this location.

We organised this clean up dive with the Divemaster Candidates of Scuba Center Asia as part of our training but also to give back to the environment we enjoy every day while diving
the pontoons on this dive site host about 1000 tourists every day, many of them also snorkel. The companies that host the visits to the pontoons try to keep the site as clean as possible but some debris is inevitable
Blackberry battery and completely intact long drink glass
sunny now but recently we had a big swell.
