For World Oceans Day 2017, the Taiwan Plastics Industry Development Center and Problue diving equipment manufacturer jointly organized a full day of shores clean-up activities in the magnificent Kenting National Park 墾丁國家公園.

Besides an educational and a beach cleaning events which gathered more than 50 people each, a 60 minutes dive against marine debris was conducted in the rocky reef of Tanziwan Harbor 潭仔漁港 .

For this event, 22 divers coming from all over Taiwan surveyed an area of 300m2, and collected and sorted 26.8 kg of marine debris - mainly fishery wastes and rags which point out the scar of the local fishing activity.

A buffet during which were shared underwater and debris collection pictures of the dive ended this beautiful day dedicated to the preservation of our beloved oceans.

The next step? The recycling of the plastics collected underwater to produce beach accessories.
