All of our staff, divemasters and guests participating in the World Ocean Clean up - 8 June 2024.

As an island community effort each school selected a location for the land clean up and Assava Dive Resort - focused on cleaning the Chalok Baan Kao Beach front collecting 140 kg of trash, mostly items left from construction from resorts that have been rebuilding since the covid period.

Our underwater clean up was held at our adopt the reef sites - Lighthouse Bay and Hin Wong Bay, where minimal trash was collected - so a positive outcome. What we did find mostly included plastic bottles and plastic fragments with a few fishing lines and lures.

As an ECO Centre and PADI Aware 100% facility we aim to clean up on a monthly basis. Next clean up will be this July 2024.
