New PADI Instructors become new PADI AWARE Dive Against Debris Specialty Instructors!

After a 100% pass on the June PADI IDC at Ban's diving, Koh Tao, brand new PADI Instructors Bee and Bernat decided to further their professional level credentials by adding the much sought after PADI AWARE Dive Against Debris Specialty Instructor to their list, working towards the MSDT rating.

PADI Staff Instructors Becky and Georgie also added the rating to their growing list of Specialties, both of whom are working their way up to becoming Master Instructors. And just because they love the ocean, Divemaster candidates Monroe and Daniel joined in too. Extra ECO points for them!

Lead by PADI Course Director Monique, the team spend an average of 59 minutes in the shallow Lighthouse Bay in Koh Tao. The bay is Assava divers adopted dive site and has regular clean ups, so finding only 5kgs of marine debris was very encouraging. As usual, the main problem was fishing line and plastic fragments and bottles.

Congratulations to all the new Dive Against Debris Instructors. Let's hope that all your future students will have the same passion for protecting our underwater environment as you all do.
