Marine Biology Students Does Beach Clean Up with Downbelow Team
Our good friends from Cardiff University have been visiting us annually on the Marine Field Trip since 2014 as part of their degree studies. During their two week stay, they will learn to dive and then we will teach them the field skills required to perform Marine Biology scientific studies in the real world.
The yearly program is conducted by our resident Platinum Course Director Richard Swann together with the Downbelow PADI 5 Star CDC Dive Centre and is one of our favourite programs of the year!
Before the field trip ends, the group participated in a beach cleaning activity here in the beautiful Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park, Sabah Malaysia Borneo. With their newfound compassion towards the ocean and our marine environment, they had an awesome time during the beach clean up knowing that they have rid the ocean of marine debris and saved marine life from succumbing to its perils.
