Liquid Diving Adventures is a 100% AWARE, and family run PADI 5* IDC dive resort in Tofo, Mozambique: Africa's most famous dive destination, where conservation meets adventure.

After leaving Finland on a round the world trip we, Satu, Jari, Aaron & Henrik, arrived at Praia do Tofo, and as we sat and watched Humpback Whales breaching in the horizon from the beach, we fell in love. And here we are now, the proud and happy owners of Liquid Dive Adventures since 2014. 

We are all very passionate about the conservation and protection of our oceans, and this is why we have turned Liquid Dive Adventures into an ecological PADI Green Star centre. By making small changes we can help to ensure the enjoyment of underwater environments for future generations. We also teach these conservation methods to our guests, as we strongly believe that everyone is empowered to make a difference! 

 

Jari and the Liquid Diving Adventures Team go on to explain: “As a 100% Aware dive center, we made the decision to incorporate a Project Aware Specialty into all of our courses.  Dive Against Debris is an easy insert into the Adventures In Diving Course; we simply include the dive as an extra mandatory dive.”

“Project Aware slots organically into an Open Water Course and can be taught almost unsuspectingly as the course progresses! Coral Reef Conservation is also a great fit for both Open Water and Rescue as they stimulate those that are already interested in nature and our planet – as most divers are!”

In Mozambique, we are lucky enough to dive in waters rich in diverse marine life, and so we train our instructors to gain Project Aware specialty instructor ratings in all available PAW courses. We also encourage our divemaster candidates to opt into the Project Aware program with 5 Project Aware Specialties to elevate them to Master Scuba Divers status too.

We have found that our customers are fully in support of our efforts for conservation and do not mind the extra costs involved since they are receiving interesting & valuable information, as well as an extra cert!
