Eight Acre Lake

Eight Acre Lake
So last week myself and the other two Miss scuba finalist Daisy and a Shannon had the pleasure to do a UK dive at Eight acre lake in North cave near Hull with our fantastic SSI scuba diving trainers Mark and Mark from bespoke diving adventures !
For me it was my first dive outside a pool environment and my first time diving in a dry suit which was kindly sponsored by John Womack at Otter drysuits...thanks John !!
Was certainly all very different to how my training went in the pool but I definitely adjusted and felt more for a ease as time went on.
Also being involved with project aware we all kept an eye out for any unwanted plastic or rubbish not meant to be in the lake on our dive and I’m happy to say the lake is very clear of anything that could cause risk to our marine life and environment so well done Eight Acre ??
With aware week shortly approaching us I’m so excited to be heading to Fuerteventura with the Miss Scuba team and getting involved with an underwater clean up to help our oceans and marine life ! And to experience diving in warmer water ha !
I’m already doing my bit by using my turtle water can from amazon (link below) and my metal reusable straw from project aware.
On reflection, I absolutely loved my first UK dive at Eight acre lake and I hope to be back one day and can’t wait to get back to scuba diving and all things marine conservation in the next week at Deep blue dive center in Fuerteventura !!! Bring it on !!!
