'Coral Sea' Arvada, CO Dive Against Debris - Sept 10, 2016

The DAD Group
updates

On Saturday, September 10th, 2016, Coral Key Scuba & Travel held our third Dive Against Debris at our lake in Arvada, CO, affectionately named the 'Coral Sea'.  We had a great group of divers participate and were encouraged that with each Dive Against Debris event, we are removing less and less debris.  This time, we removed 25 lbs of debris of which most was plastic bags and fragments.  We also removed 36 tennis balls!  Despite being a private lake, local dog owners play fetch in the lake with their pets with tennis balls and many are 'lost'.

As for our lake, we were excited that we saw more fish than we have in the past and are hopeful that with the continued removal of debris, the lake health will continue to improve.  We had a great time making our dives count and making a difference for our lake and its residents!
