Beautiful Dahab and Single use Plastic

updates

Dahab, a beautiful small town by the Red Sea in South Sinai / Egypt, is in a constant battle with single use plastic. Though banned in 2019, we are still waiting for the ban to be enacted.

On a positive side we have to note, that though the ban still exists only on paper yet, the situation in the sea improved a bit over the last years as a consequence of improved garbage disposal, regular beach clean ups and Dive against Debris initiatives

However, the best way is to prevent the plastic garbage at all by banning where ever possible. Therefore we all still wait for the enactment.
