On June 4rth, the evening before WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY, we organized a BEACH CLEAN UP in front of our own door: the Southern Rock Beach of Pondicherry.

We invited Pondicherry’s Crème de la Crème to pull a crowd….and we got it done:

We inspired the Governor Kiran Bedi’s office to support us with their team,

the Indian Coast Guard to even offer us their Ambulance vehicle on standby,

the Promenade Hotel and many other businesses of Pondicherry to support us with manpower, water and snacks.

The Municipality was in place to load and recycle the collected waste

Within 11/2 hours we collected 300 kg of waste in 20 big gunny bags and signed up 128 people to join us for future AWARE activities. The event was broadcasted on 5 TV channels - and of course though our own Social Media channels to voice it out loud and make PADI proud.
