This is my favourite time of year. A chance to spend time with family and friends, eat good food and watch the kids get super excited. It is definitely a magical time of year.

But for me, it's also a  time to reflect; to take a step back and look at what we've achieved together for our ocean planet.

It's true that the challenges facing our ocean are great. But as I look at what we've done together in 2015, I'm truly amazed. We are truly a global force for good.

Over the past year you've responded to calls to actions large and small. YOU are living proof that small actions and teams of people - when added together - make a huge difference.

So, as we close the books on 2015, it's time to say thank you and celebrate you!

Here are just some of our 2015 highlights made possible thanks to your continued support.

Together, we've:

• Mobilized 4,109 divers in 57 countries who removed and reported 91,972 items of debris and protected local aquatic life.
• Influenced a united push towards a stronger finning ban within the North Atlantic Fisheries Organization area.
• Activated 31,061 divers and ocean advocates to take action locally.
• Inspired 18,551 people who learned about the Ugly Journey of Our Trash from land to ocean.

2015 has been an action packed year. We've made signficant strides as a combined voice - a voice for ocean protection. I'm really proud to be part of this growing movement - I hope you are too!
