Het verheugt PADI® en Project AWARE® de tweede editie van de AWARE-week aan te kunnen kondigen. De week staat gepland rond de week van 19 - 27 september 2019. Sinds de indrukwekkende televisieserie Blue Planet II is de vervuiling van de zeeën met plastic een populair onderwerp geworden.

The Mauritius oil spill is a tragedy for the ocean and the people of Mauritius that are so connected to and dependent on it. On the back of the global coronavirus pandemic, the oil spill is a second major blow for this small island nation that relies heavily on tourism. Mauritius and its 1.3 million residents greatly depend on a healthy environment, above and below the surface. As they now watch years of conservation work being undone, it is that much more awe-inspiring to see the community come together to do what they can with the resources they have.

PADI® and the Project AWARE® team are joining forces to celebrate the power of the global dive community and inspire positive actions for a clean and healthy ocean. The third annual AWARE Week takes place throughout the week of 19-27 September 2020.  Can we count on you to carry the torch for ocean protection and inspire others to be a PADI® Torchbearer? 

To coincide with one of TV’s most popular weeks, Shark Week, Paycom hosted a companywide phishing simulation challenge to increase phishing education and raise donations for Project AWARE, collecting a total of $16,580.
