What would happen if everyone picked up at least one piece of litter on Beach Clean Up day? 

Nearly 12 million people and counting have been part of the world’s biggest volunteer effort to protect the ocean. Will you join us this month?

Today, plastic has been found in 62% of all sea birds and in 100% of sea turtle species.

A problem as big as plastic in the ocean requires a big response! By participating in the Lutong Beach Clean Up, Miri, you can make a difference. You’ll join millions of volunteers just like you, who love the ocean and want to protect it. This month Lutong Beach Clean Up, Miri is Sunday, 29th October 2017. All our staffs is pledge to go and we are looking forward to see you too.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION - PLEASE TAKE NOTE 

• Borneo Dive Network will provide:

1. First 100 Black rubbish bags to any volunteers who did not bring with them their own 
2. One box of disposable gloves - given to anyone who wishes to use them.

• PLEASE wear appropriate clothing, footwear and gloves during clean up time - to suit comfort and protection 
• PLEASE be apply sun screen frequently and protect head from direct sunlight (hat, covering) 
• BRING WITH YOU efficient amount of water with you to keep you hydrated while helping collect rubbish in daytime sunlight.
• All volunteers are collecting trash at their own risk and we accept no responsibility or liability for any injury or illness caused by the event 

We are currently awaiting confirmation from sponsors that we have approached. At the moment, we regret that we are unable to provide refreshments for any volunteers (however, this may change). 

A registration form will be given to all volunteers - we would appreciate if you could fill out your details for our records and so that we can give rightful credit to all of those who took part in this event.
