Eroad New Zealand has a program whereby every employee is able to give back to the community one day a year. Since we have a group of avid divers we decided to do another clean-up this year, having done Ti Point in the past.

The Kai Iwi lakes were chosen as my wife and I did a fun dive in December last year and saw lots of items that needed to be removed, just off the main beach opposite the campground.

The lakes are used extensively for recreation purposes during the summer. Bussing up from Auckland early on the 26th March and with the assistance of Auckland Scuba who helped with all the extra gear we needed.
