At Dive Centre Bondi we are lucky enough to submerse ourselves beneath the waves of Sydney's coastline on a regular basis. One of our favorite dive spots to visit with local divers and visiting divers is Bare Island.

To make sure Bare Island remains a beautiful dive site we a have teamed up with Project Aware to Adopt a Dive Site and on the 4th November we will be holding out first Dive Against Debris event!

This event is for everyone! Divers, snorkelers and land foragers! If you have a passion of the ocean and keeping Sydney's sites clean then this is the event for you.

ABOUT THE DAY
Meet at Bare Island at 9:30am for a briefing.
After the briefing we will begin our clean-up taking approximately an hour.
Once we have completed our clean-up we will gather together at our meeting spot where we will begin to sort through the debris collected so we can record the quantities and types of materials found. This information will then be sent to Project Aware who continually use this data to create to spread the message and work at changing policy to protect our oceans.

As a thank you to all the participants we will be having a BBQ back at the dive shop where we will be serving up good old Aussie burgers and snags! (The BBQ will be BYOB)
