Dive Against Debris Survey Dive- Round Two!
Ends
A few months ago, all the Buddha View Dive Master Candidates and I, completed a DAD survey dive. We were very successful in removing 32 Kilograms of debris, mostly of the plastic nature. The area where we found most of the rubbish was a little pocket of sand in between the beach and coral reef. It seems that all rubbish ended up get stuck in this area and progressively growing with time. I am hoping to return to the same spot, to see if it has accumulated back up again. Hopefully it has remained in the same state in which we left it. If it has gotten worse, then further action will have to be taken.
Come join me on October 30th to complete another survey. We will be meeting at Buddha View at 12:00, and heading to the boat at 12:30. Please read though the Dive against Debris Survey Guide, so you are familiar with it. I will be briefing everyone on the boat.
