Join our Dive Against Debris Specialty Course at Stuart Cove’s Dive Bahamas on January 28th 2017 from 9am till 4:40pm. This is a great citizen scientist course created by Project Aware and is the first and only marine debris survey of its kind focused on scuba divers reporting types and quantities of debris found on the ocean floor.

The course will start at 9am and involve a morning of theory and then a Dive Against Debris after lunch at the dive site ‘Nari Nari’ which was hit hard during Hurricane Matthew so has lots of debris to remove.  After the dive we will gather all the data and enter on the Project Aware website. This certification counts towards your PADI Master Scuba Diver Rating.

If you are an Instructor you may attend the course and PADI Course Director Hayley-Jo Carr will certify you as an Instructor so you can teach the course to others. You can include the Dive Against Debris Adventure dive as part of the new Advanced Open Water Course which is a great way to make your students advocates for the underwater realm.

Please bring; Mesh bag, Gloves, cutting tool like a dive knife or scissors. If you have a lift bag or SMB bring them too.

Course is just $53.75 (includes VAT) per person

Email PADI Course Director [email protected] for more details and to book your place.
