We went out on a Sunday morning with the 4 of us to Directors Bay.

We started with a clean up on top on the parking place, explaining them that we do more than just cleaning up inside the water. A clean bay is just as important.

When we started cleaning the fishing lines next to the cliffs many fisherman throw their lines out, we found line after line! Equipt with our AWARE-bags and knife and scissors we start cleaning up between the corals and plants of our beautiful but actually polluted reef. After 65 minutes of cutting lines away and freeing quite some plants and corals from many many meters of lines we called it a day. Satisfied we returned to shore. We were a bit shocked from the amount of lines we found but on the other hand happy we took it all away!
