🌊 Invitation for Underwater & Coastal Cleanup at Agios Nikolaos Beach, Lagonisi!

🩵 The sea gives us life. It’s time to give back!

🩵 Join us for an IMPORTANT Underwater & Coastal Cleanup at Agios Nikolaos Beach, Lagonisi, in the Municipality of Saronikos, a beach we have adopted for the past 9 years through the “Adopt the Blue” program by PADI AWARE, having completed more than 65 underwater cleanups!

🩵 Sign-up is REQUIRED by completing this form for both divers and coastal volunteers: Signup Form (https://www.dnapp.gr/echo/custom/pub/dive_form/Zk15UlJlVUt2ZFdJSWNMdWx1…), to ensure efficient organization of the event. ‼️

🩵 What is “Adopt the Blue”?

🩵 “Adopt the Blue” is a Global Marine Ecosystem Protection Initiative implemented by PADI AWARE.

🩵 Its goal is to preserve and restore marine ecosystems through:

✔ Underwater cleanups to remove pollution from the seabed.

✔ Recording the collected debris to contribute to global scientific research on ocean pollution.

✔ Raising awareness and educating the public about environmental protection.

🩵 We remove plastics, metals, tires, fishing lines, nets, and other debris harmful to marine life, documenting our findings in international databases.

🩵 Event Schedule & Participation Guidelines

🔹 Underwater Cleanup (Divers):

✔ Open to ALL certification levels.

✔ Certified divers in the “Dive Against Debris” program will serve as team leaders, guiding divers in a designated area.

✔ ‼️ Free full diving gear is provided for those without personal equipment. Divers with their own gear will have priority.

✔ Specialized cleanup equipment such as ropes, lift bags, and cutting tools will be provided to team leaders.

✔ Divers will use perforated bags to collect debris from the seabed.

✔ Protective gloves are MANDATORY for safety.

🔹 Coastal Cleanup (Volunteers on Land):

✔ Volunteers will use special bags to collect debris from the shore.

✔ Protective gloves are required for hygiene and safety.

✔ Volunteers are encouraged to bring their children along!

👧👶👦 Why bring your children?

🌍 This is NOT just another cleanup. It’s an education for the future!

👧🧒 Children participating will have a unique experience, learning through action.

💡 They will understand the importance of protecting the environment and become future advocates for our planet.

♻️ The real solution to pollution is not just cleaning up but shaping a new generation that won’t let waste accumulate in the first place!

❓ Why should you participate?

✅ You will restore marine life by removing harmful debris.

✅ You will help keep the beach clean for future generations.

✅ You will become part of a community that loves and respects nature.

ℹ️ For us, this beach is not just a beautiful place. It’s our history!

✨ Here is where my parents met.

✨ Here I grew up and have been swimming since childhood.

✨ Here, after founding Diveness, we decided to conduct all our underwater training programs.

✨ Here we have been raising our child from infancy.

✨ Our vision is for our child to one day bring their own children to a clean and protected beach filled with love.

🩵 If everyone adopted a beach, every family would have a clean place to enjoy the sea.

🩵 Additional Information:

🩵 1. Sponsorships for volunteers (water, juice, gloves, bags, etc.) are welcomed and will be acknowledged on our social media!

🩵 2. Diveness will cover event expenses to the maximum extent possible, as we have always done, since we are true volunteers—always and forever.

🌊 Join us! Become part of the change. The sea needs you!
