Comments and Feedback
What an effort! Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for our PADI Project AWARE clean up dive of the South West Wall at the Gold Coast Seaway. Having done numerous drifts from the the newly installed access stairs to the beach there is a serious amount of work to be done so what better time to get started on it?! Between 9 divers in 90 minutes we pulled out an impressive amount of fishing gear and rope which had metal wire through it (yeah that was fun...). All up it was 40lbs of lead, 600 odd hooks and lures, three plastic drinking straws, 5 plastic bags, 50kg + of metal spliced rope, a metre square piece of yellow cloth, a weed chopper and two aluminium cans. Congratulations to Graeme and Debra who won an indulgence pack and to Nicholas and Helena who won some dive goodies for their efforts. The next Project AWARE Clean Up dive will be on Monday 16 November. Adreno Scuba Diving have kindly sponsored us with three $100 air fills cards so they will be up for grabs over our upcoming clean ups. So come and join us next time, blow some bubbles and clean up our local.
