This action took place through volunteers who are interested in diving activity and want to act in favor of the environment. Thinking of promoting the PADI courses, I created a project in Colonia Z-10 Fishermen, the first in Brazil since 1920, is located in a mangrove biome within the Guanabara Bay. The Dry Island is to be occupied by the offshore industry, further decreasing the area of Artisanal Fisheries, where several families depend for their livelihood. With volunteering, we can develop skills so that the residents of this area can use diving as a tool, removing industrial waste from the seabed and managing them by applying a concept of sustainability and recycling, ensuring the permanence of the Island as artisanal fishing area. In this action the interested in conducting the PADI OPEN WATER, will receive the first participation. With three stakes, the volunteer receives a free diving course and three actions, the introduction of scuba diving. In the end, with five dives for the project, enabling one to dive to 18mts and rent diving equipment anywhere in the world. In addition to diving, this action aims to promote environmental education and preservation of Caiçara Culture.
