The ghost nets are damaging the ecosystem in the area and has affected the livelihood of the coastal community. The local government bodies responsible for the fishing industry should look into the matters as soon as possible.
The War World Two Japanese wrecks have high historical value and had provide habitat to a diversity of marine life off the coast of Kuching.
