Winter festivities with main events stage nearby to the dive site location

Electrical switchboard casing

Fishing line - although we only retrieved 3 fishing lines, they measured to more than 100metres in big tangled clumps or entangled across the reef. We shall have to return with fresh tanks to retreive the rest.

Beverage cans - They are washing straight from shore and whilst creating a shelter for small fish are casuing a bigger problem as they break down and leave sharp edges and miniscule polution

clothing - smotthering young coral

Cleaning the reef is as enjoyable an experience as touring and exploring! It really helps to bring around personal awareness on choosing products based on packaging.

This is a beautiful dive site but unfortunately at this stage it doesn't appear that our few clean ups have made an impact on the social management of waste, however, we shall continue with our goals to raise awareness. The local government have requested our data records to report on findings at political meetings, so fingers crossed for a clean, green future!
