Day fishing activity from Skala and debris associated with refugee landings in Skala harbour

Section of tube from refugee dinghy

Bundle of entangled monofilament fishing line and netting

This was conducted as a skin dive.

I am a volunteer diver with Fathoms Free, England, as well as a volunteer rescue boat crewman with Refugee Rescue, which is why I am currently in Lesvos, Greece. This site is the most heavily-polluted dive area I have seen in terms of loose plastics.
