This site is technically not a dive site as it is mainly used to ferry tourists to the island of Koh Nangyuan. The importance of cleaning this site was at the forefront of importance as it rarely receives attention due to the amount of large ferry's constantly there. Because of its nature as a basic port there was an awful lot of plastic containers for food and drinks due to their being a take away restaurant on the island. Since this clean up occurred the island has banned single use plastics and the area has already seen dramatic improvement on the plastic debris front.

Full set of clothing

Plastics - just so much

cloth - very heavy

wood - large branches were difficult to control and manouvre

This effort was part of earth day 2016 where we did a multi beach clean up and then 2 dive against debris dives! what a day!!!
