High volume of tourism. infront of cruise ships dock. There is a lot of concret structures because of the hurrucanes of 2005. Buoys found and rope are because of areas that are marked for snorkelers.

A lot of hats

Algae

Silt

Concrete pieces

The area has big challenges because of the cruise ships, and although we don´t have so much trash, it is relevant the damage of the silt in the coral soft and stony and the overgrowth of algae because of the same sediment. In this area we have the only coral farm in Cozumel and we have been succesful in restoring some áreas, but we always have to be with our brushes on hand.
