WSORC Snorkel Clean Up!

updates

Today was a successful snorkel clean up with WSORC interns Kevin and Louise as well as Volunteers Oscar and Kristin! Thank you very much guys for turning up and helping to remove a wide variety of garbage from Utila Harbour. Since we recently had a few bad weather fronts here in Utila, loads of plastic and other rubbish made its way to our shores; if there was ever a day that required a snorkel clean up, than it was definitely today.  Even with the water in Utila Harbour being rougher than normal, we still managed to clean our precious waters of waste. The main items collected were plastic fragments, aluminum cans as well as even a PVC pipe and a shoe. Our snorkel clean up is a common theme in Utila Harbour. Thanks again to everyone that helped out, it was a great morning!
