On a hot and windy day on our little island of Utila, we spent a few hours in the afternoon cleaning up the trash and debris that wash up upon the island's eastern shore. We collected six bags of garbage, including about forty shoes/sandals, over a dozen toothbrushes, and infinite pieces of styrofoam. Thanks again to our team at the Whale Shark & Oceanic Research Center! One beach cleanup at a time, we hope to make our beautiful island a little more pristine and clean.
