FIN - Help End The Horror

updates

Every year more than 36 million sharks are killed; many simply for their fins as the title ingredient in shark fin soup. To understand the barbaric nature of ‘finning’ sharks at sea, watch this 45 second TV commercial Fin – Help End the Horror created for the UK shark and marine conservation charity, Bite-Back.

Bite-Back believes that if there is no demand for shark fin soup then the motivation for killing sharks is dramatically reduced. For that reason I'm right behind the charity’s ‘Hacked Off!’ campaign to make Britain the first country in the world to ban shark fin soup.

Already the energetic and focussed organisation has inspired 16 restaurants to remove shark fin soup from menus including Hakkasan, the country’s only Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant, but there are still 63 more restaurants left to conquer before the goal is achieved.
