Just had great fun teaching the PADI Aware Shark Conservation course to Lutwala Dive's 8 current Divemaster Trainees. The dive centre is crazy busy during the day right now with not a minuite to spare so we decided to dedicate an evening in to learning about shark conservation: we loaded up on pizzas and the odd beer or two then settled down in our open air classroom to learn about the threats faced by these stunning creatures and how we as divers can get involved and help. It's an awesome course that all levels of divers can benefit from: even these students, already close to being professional divers, had huge gaps in their knowledge and came away feeling educated and enthused.
