Giant Clam Project Site Report

updates

Experienced divers Li and Pierre from the USA, assisted us with a spot of coral planting on our Giant Clam site last week.  Fourty coral plugs were prepared and now sit on our coral planting rack.   A week on, all the coral cuttings are still alive, and we hope it'll simply be a matter of waiting 8 -12 weeks before we can transplant these on to the reef.

Aside from coral planting our diving guests helped us to measure our large tridacna gigas clams.  The largest of our stock weigh in at over 45kg, measure approximately 70cm in length and around 40cm in width.
