Dive against Debris

updates

Dive Tropex Tokoriki has embraced the "Dive Against Debris" philosophy.   On all dives, should a piece of rubbish be spotted, it is collected.  In beautiful Fiji, most dive sites are rubbish free; however those dive sites located near local villages are prone to litter.  Plastic bottles, clothing and batteries are common items picked up on these dive sites.

As significantly, on our two uninhabited island tours - guides are provided with a black bin bag and random collection of rubbish is encouraged.   Should guides come back to Tokoriki with litter (as well as carrying out other required duties), a bonus is added to their weekly pay packet.  Plastic bottles and tins are common items collected.
