Cetacean Watch

updates
Yesterday on a dive to Monuriki Garden, divers were thrilled to experience the sound of whale song underwater! Last year we had several humpback whale sightings including a memorable one of a mother and calf observed by Tokoriki guests on a sunset cruise! (See photo).

The timing couldn't be more relevant, as earlier in the week Dive Tropex Tokoriki was invited to take part in a national 'Cetacean Watch'. This 'watch' asks observers to record sightings of whales and dolphins, whilst identifying the species, giving an approximate of numbers in the pod, as well as providing information such as date, time of day and location.
