"Dugongs" need protection too !!!!

updates

Diving in Marsa Alam, Egypt last week. In one of the bays along the coast there is the rare opportunity to dive with a Dugong, a type of sea cow. The dugongs feed in the shallows on sea grass - which they "hoover" up, hence this one is nick-named "Dyson!"

Because they feed in the shallows, the bay becomes crowded with snorkellers and diver boats all waiting for the Dugong to surface for air. When he does, he is immediately surrounded by dozens of humans all splashing around and taking photos. Despite this, he happily carries on feeding, but it can only be a matter of time before he decides he need somewhere quieter to feed !!!
