Diving.... or...... my new world

updates

I find it quite intesresting, fascintaing even that everyday we go about our lives without much of a thought as to what happens beneath the calm surface of our lakes or beneath the turbulent waves of the seas and oceans that domintae soo much of our earth.

Recently I got certified as an PADI open water diver and now these mysteries have slowly begun to unfold and reveal themselves to me.  Everytime I dive I find something new to wonder at, to watch in amazement.  If it is nothing more than the stalworth guarding of a spawning bed by one of our freshwater fish nieghbors.

I have watch turtles hold their breath and rest at the bottom of a lake and simply wondered, how long can he stay under water.  It is almost with child like excitement that I slip beneath the waves out of the reachof the sun and into the cool fingers of the water.  That thrilled was compounded a bit on my last dive when I dove on the sunken hull of a boat.  My first wreck dive although unofficial and because of lack of training and thus safety I didnt penetrate the cabin area it was still exhilorating none the less.

I hope to be adding pictures soon as I share my experiences.

Remember our water born friends cannot fend for themselves nor speak for themsleves so this lay the responsibilty of our water ways and aquatic life in our hands.  Take care of them for there is much to explore and learn from the world beneath the waves.
