July Update Dive Against Debris Sand Harbor State Park Lake Tahoe Nevada.

updates

We did our monthly Dive Against Debris and collected 25 pounds of marine debris.  As this project has been moving forward we have noticed a significant reduction of debris in the 25 to 40 foot range in the area we are regularly surveying.  This dive we moved closer to shore and found some areas with large deposits of debris. Mthese areas are also frequently used as swimming areas by visitors to Lake Tahoe.  We found debris ranging from an antique Pepsi Cola can to clothing and beach chairs.  Thanks to Joe and Patrick for lending a hand in protecting our aquatic world.
