CoralWatch

updates

Unfortuantly our first dive trip/coralwatch dive was cancelled at the start of the month due to weather conditions! Our next trip is now on the 29th March to Plymouth, fingers crossed we shall get our first CoralWatch data!

Remember CoralWatch integrates coral reef education and global reef monitoring. Using the coral Health Chart volunteers from around the globe we can monitor reefs and contribute to our global coral bleaching database.

Why are corals so Important?

Corals provide a home for fish and other marine creatures. Healthy reefs provide food for millions of people. Reefs help to protect coastal land from cyclones and storm surges. Healthy reefs also support local economie, providing employment from tourism, fishing and many other industries.

If you would like to get involved in our CoralWatch project visit our website for our trip dates to Lundy, Plymouth, Lyme Bay, Pembrokeshire and Porthkerris
