During the month of October 2011, Scuba Emporium wanted to make a difference when it came to shark awareness. Patrick Hammer and I set up an all out, in-store campaign. We managed to accomplish quite a bit:

·         We are currently working with our entire Scuba Emporium Instructional Staff, so they can properly teach the new PADI Distinctive Specialty - AWARE Shark Conservation. This will include having them certified as instructors for this course.

·         Committed to include the AWARE Shark Conservation Diver Distinctive Specialty on every store trip.

·         Promoted the Project AWARE Shark Petition, asking staff and customers to further promote the cause through their spheres of influence.

·         Asked our staff to donate generously to Project AWARE to help further shark awareness and raised $500!
