Earth Day 2016 was an absolute success this year!

In the morning Scuba Center Asia crew and guests started a beach clean-up at Mushroom Beach, Nusa Lembongan. Together with the local school kids, tourists and other dive shops the area around Mushroom Beach got cleaned-up. Fabulous to see how enthousiastic everyone was! During the Beach Clean-up Scuba Center Asia alone picked up 10kg of debris.

Straight after the Beach clean up we went out  with the diveboat to the dive site Ceningan Bay for the Clean-up Dive. In total our dive team collected 7 kg of debris around an area of 20m2. Interesting objects like a fish pod and underwear was found around the clean up area. But also fish nets, plastic bottles and lots of glass. Basically all kinds of stuff tourists, local fishermans leave behind...

After seeing this around Ceningan Bay Scuba Center Asia is determined to repeat these kind of clean-up dives at least once every month! So keep posted on our Scuba Center Asia facebook page, Google Plus and other social media channels to join!!
