Yesterday was day 12 of my pledge and I headed out to Manta Point on the South of NusaPenida. There was a lot of plankton accumulating in one of the bays on the surface and of course if the plankton is accumulating, sadly, so is the trash. It was not difficult to fill my two clean up bags - I wish I had been able to collect more. I scooped up 4 flip flops, 3 plastic bottles, 10 food container pots, 1 paint can, 1 piece of rope, 11 food wrappers and one plastic bag. It's so sad to see the beautiful mantas feeding amongst the trash - come on divers - let's do some more clean ups!!
