Another dive on the House Reef and another clean up bag filled! Today I went out with my Open Water student Stephanie for dive numbers 3 and 4 and Stephenie helped with filling my clean up bag on the House Reef. Stephenie said she was glad she had helped as now she realised that divers have a responsibility and a job to do underwater whenever they see trash. This made me realise that if we not only teach people how to dive but also show them what they can do while they are diving to help preserve the ocean we will generate a new generation of eco divers! So all instructors out there, set an example - clean up as you go - your students (and the ocean) will thank you for it!!!
