Project AWARE Kids at Sekolah Cikal, Jakarta

updates

On November 22 we have conducted the Aware Kids program at Sekolah Cikal in Jakarta (www.cikal.co.id).

The program was delivered to Year 6 pupils as part of the school's conservation awareness program called "Sharing Our Earth". It was a fantastic day where we interact with 15 very enthusiastic students talking about our ocean and coral reef conservation. These students has great concerns about marine debris and how to preserve our aquatic world. We delivered the program in a fun way, using the Aware Kids book and a short video presentation about the living reef. Simulation on the ugly journey of our trash was a great fun, and we close the program with the Aware Kids wet-word-game. We also give the pupils the conservation issues card for them to think about the solutions.

According to the teachers, these students has planned a mission to be conducted in January next year. They will do a campaign about saving our coral reefs and marine debris management.

These kids will now take a great part in the protection of our ocean planet. It's our home, protect it. Protect it, and we save our lives.
