Global Shark Survey Needs your help

updates

The global shark survey needs data from divers who have seen sharks.  The Sabah shark Survey managed over 6000 hours of underwater observations for sharks in 2010 & 2011.  With the data we have persuaded the government to protect all sharks.  How did we do 6000 dives - easy - we simply collected the information from all the dive centres and divers we knew.

Almost everyone records their dives in a logbook so the data on when each diver sees a shark is already recorded.  Simple stuff, where - when - how many dives/hours underwater at that place (holiday for example) - how many sharks seen.

Please send us your data to the global shark survey
