Round Up of 2011... and looking ahead to 2012

updates

Well, we’re almost here – at the end of 2011, and the end of this year’s pledge to raise £2,000 for my charity, Project AWARE.

I must say, it’s been a super active year with one cross country run, four triathlons and one half-marathon; all along with numerous Tag Rugby tours in the UK and Europe.

Despite finishing the year unable to partake in my final challenge and slightly short of my target with £1636 (including gift aid), this is year has been truly amazing and I would like to thank everyone so much for their support for both Project AWARE and myself. So, keeping in tune with all the fantastic work that Project AWARE do, year on year, I think that it is only fitting that I continue to do the same.

To continue my support, I have rolled over my target to December 2012, and will continue to enter myself into a number of events, showing my support for Project AWARE. So watch this space for more triathlons, runs and other sporting events on my profile!

Next year the bar will be raised, as I will be training harder than ever before, with the aim to significantly beat all of my times across the same distances – fuelled by my own pledge to donate £3 for every minute that I take off of my 2011 times.

Along with entering sporting events, 2012 will see me continue to support Project AWARE by assisting with Dive Shows around the UK, and undertaking other volunteer activities where possible, such has holding presentations at environmental forums and meetings. Over the course of the year Project AWARE have been running a blog on my activities, which you can follow under the "Support a Supporter" section on this site.

To keep up to date with my activities, both past and present, and to make a donation, please visit http://www.justgiving.com/pedro-project-aware

Once again, thank you so much for your support, it does really mean so much to me and Project AWARE, so I hope you will continue to show your support for such a great cause.

One voice alone often goes unnoticed, but speaking collectively can make a difference.

Thank you all so much

Pedro
